Our Pastor

Pastor Carlos D. Coleman is married to Monica Y. Coleman.  Their marriage has spanned 29 years as of early 2026 and they have three children (Bryce, Isabelle, and Noah).  Pastor Carlos also has a son Adrian Banks that is in the Army.  Family is a big part of the Coleman household and now that Pastor Coleman and Lady Monica are empty nesters, travel is required.  

Academically, Pastor Carlos earned a Business of Administration degree in Marketing from Columbus State University and continues to grow academically at The King's University in Dallas, TX.  Professionally his career started at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer newspaper where he worked in circulation and then later in  advertising.  In 2002, he left the newspaper to begin his financial practice, The Coleman Capital Group. for the next six years.  After closing that office Pastor Carlos accepted the position of CFO at his father's company, Soto Industries LLC.  There he helped improve the organizational structure and facilitate the buyout of his father's business partner of 15 years.

Spiritually, as a member of Central Baptist Church, Pastor Carlos was ordained as a deacon in 1999.   A year later he accepted his call to preach the gospel ministry in May of 2000.  He was ordained as a minister at New Birth Outreach Church in 2003.  During his early years in the ministry,  Pastor Carlos served as the Youth Pastor at our Norris Rd. sanctuary.  From 2008 to September 2014, he served as the Pastor of Administration for Founding Pastor Farnsworth Coleman Sr.. Pastor Carlos has had the privilege of serving not only his heavenly father but also his earthly father, Farnsworth Coleman Sr. 

After eighteen years of committed and loyal service and under the leadership of our Founding pastor, Farnsworth Coleman Sr., Pastor Carlos was elevated to the position of Lead Pastor of New Birth Outreach Church. He continues to serve God's people with compassion, faithfulness, excellence and humility. He is the pastor that God said he will give to us in Jeremiah 3:15, "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding".

From establishing a S.T.E.M. School for boys to conducting irrigation and sex trafficking work in Kenya, Pastor Carlos continues to "win the lost at any cost". Creating a worship experience where people can come as they are and leave better has expanded our church to two-services in 2025.  He continues to build the vision that God has given New Birth as well as increase the kingdom.  There is much work to be done and he is busy about the Father's business. God has sent this Pastor for such a time as this to teach the unaltered word of God.  Serving with excitement and anticipation to what God has in store for all of us, Pastor Carlos exhibits the love that God has for His people.
